2006 Conference For Nurses Who Treat Patients With Bone Marrow Disease
The conference will provide nurses with an opportunity to refine their skills and increase their knowledge of bone marrow diseases for better patient care and better outcomes for patients. It promises to be valuable to nurses whether they treat one patient with bone marrow disease or specialize in the treatment of diseases like aplastic anemia, myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH). Ample time will be available for the exchange of ideas, and for discussions on best practices, treatment options, and quality of life issues. Nurses can earn 6.3 continuing education units.
In addition to a full day of sessions on Thursday, August 3rd, nurses will join patients on Friday, August 4th for presentations from seven of the world's leading medical experts in aplastic anemia, MDS, and PNH, who will be discussing the latest in treatments and research. Nurses will also have a prime opportunity to share and discuss disease issues with the nearly 300 patients and their families attending the AA&MDSIF Patient & Family Conference.

Since 1983 we have been providing life-saving assistance to both patients and families battling bone marrow diseases by offering information about treatment options, access to clinical trials, medical experts and patient support networks. We provide these services free of charge.
