The engineering and development of this new angiography system has transferred from industrial robotics. The Artis zeego has 8 pivot points extending imaging capabilities through virtually unrestricted C-arm positioning, giving unprecedented flexibility in catheter labs and operating rooms. The extra positioning flexibility allows for advanced cross-sectional imaging not achievable with traditional C-arm systems and also enables off-centre rotational angiography for all areas of the body.
The rotation centre of the positioner can be placed anywhere in a sphere around the patient enabling complex scanning movements, such as tilted table scans in the peripherals. A specially designed tilting table with radio lucent table top and lateral tilting capabilities is completely integrated into the system design. The Intelligent collision protection function allows the operator to manoeuvre the flat detector confidently about the patient quickly and precisely, producing images similar to CT and covering more anatomy than was previously possible with angiography systems. The system also supports needle procedures in the angiography suite, freeing up your CT for other diagnostic uses.

Artis zeego supports innovative 3D procedures such as tomograms with 'syngo DynaCT'. The new Large Volume syngo DynaCT software also enables the imaging of large volumes such as the entire abdomen or the liver, for example during chemoembolisation or biopsies. It is also superior to conventional angiography systems during neuro-interventions as it can provide larger views of the skull, neck and spine.
