CHKS Launches Health Check Assurance Programme To Help Trusts Meet The Requirements Of The Healthcare Commission, UK
The programme's introduction is particularly timely now that the Healthcare Commission has announced the 20% of trusts it will be visiting to verify declarations and review evidence of compliance with the standards.
In addition, trusts can be benchmarked against local and national peers, to compare their performance with similar organisations. A tailored package of support for enhancement and implementation of action plans is also provided.
The Standards for Better Health have been set down to measure performance and promote consistency in healthcare. The review process puts the onus on trust boards to assure themselves that these standards are being met in their trusts and that systems and processes are in place to enable their continued adherence. CHKS, strengthened by the acquisition of the Health Quality Service, has considerable experience in assisting healthcare organisations to review and implement systems and identify evidence of compliance with quality standards.
