Ebola haemorrhagic fever in south Sudan, update 5, WHO
Overall, 157 contacts are currently being followed up.
Intensive social mobilization activities are being carried out. A workshop involving 94 teachers from the area was organized to disseminate messages about the disease and necessary prevention measures. Trained staff have been placed in the hospital to provide information and counseling to patients and their relatives. Health education materials have been developed and will be distributed in schools and other community centres.
Leaflets on Ebola prevention which will be distributed in Yambio market, and to communities and churches over the next few days.
