Good Samaritan Hospital Named Among America's 50 Best Hospitals 2 Consecutive Years

HealthGrades has analyzed patient outcome data for virtually every hospital in the country across 27 different hospital procedures and diagnoses. HealthGrades' risk-adjustment methodology considers important differences in patient demographics and medical conditions that could increase the patient's risk of mortality or complications. The study identifying America's 50 Best Hospitals is based on a risk-adjusted assessment of tens of millions of Medicare patient records from 1999 through 2006.
America's 50 Best Hospitals, including Good Samaritan Hospital have consistently achieved better survival rates and lower complication rates. As a whole, in hospitals that received the America's 50 Best Hospital distinction, patients are 28 percent more likely to survive and five percent less likely to have a major complication according to HealthGrades.
