New NICE Website Set To Be The Most Definitive Source Of Guidance On Health Promotion And Clinical Excellence, UK

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has re-launched its website to provide a comprehensive, user-friendly, authoritative and up-to-date source of information on public health and clinical guidance for NHS professionals, patients and others working in public and voluntary sectors.

Following on from the merger between NICE and the Health Development Agency, the new site integrates public health and clinical content on one site. The new site structure and improved search tools mean that users will find content more quickly and easily. Key features of the site include:

• An improved "guidance search" facility allowing much more detailed and quicker searches for NICE guidance

• The ability to search for NICE guidance by type and topic

• A new section called "get involved" to help encourage more participation in the work of NICE

• A regularly changing "in focus" feature highlighting forthcoming and current issues

Louise Fish, Communications Director at NICE says "We have listened carefully to what users of the NICE website want. The new NICE website provides a great tool for the NHS, patients and those working in public health to help them keep up to date with NICE guidance, and find guidance quickly and easily when they need it".
