The Circus Comes To Town For This Year's Kidz Stuff, UK
Last year's first ever Kidz Stuff event was such a huge hit, with thousands of families visiting the unique venue of Leonardslee Gardens in Lower Beeding, that the organisers, Horsham Rotary Club, are making the 2008 festival even bigger.
The theme for this year will be the circus, complete with a 500-seater Big Top and 25 circus artists including one of the UK's only comedy car slapstick stunt shows with world famous Dingle Fingle; a Science Fair with shows from the Observatory Science Centre, hands on activities from the Science Museum and, once again, Dangerous Science shows from Professor Heinz Wolff; Monster Trucks and Sports Academies.
All of this plus the usual inflatables, climbing walls, Birds of Prey shows, Mini Quad Bikes, magicians, author readings and much more will make for an incredible family day out whatever the weather. Proceeds from the festival will go to Action Medical Research.
Other attractions include BBC Children's presenter Chris Jarvis, the Southern Water Taste Test and an opportunity for you to test your DJ skills with Radio Mercury. 'Fit for Sport', the UK's leading Children's Healthy Lifestyle provider, will also be giving sampler exercise sessions.
For the tots there will be a large soft play area and a chance to help Paddington Bear celebrate his 50th anniversary.
Meanwhile, for 100 adventure-loving families who book early, there will be a chance to sign up for sleepovers with ex- SAS and TV star Steve Truglia. For just £150 per family, inclusive of meals and covering entrance to Kidz Stuff on both days, Steve, now a stuntman on James Bond movies, and his helpers will show young and old how to light a camp fire like the professionals and even get to grips with some basic survival skills.
It will be an incredible opportunity for the first 100 families who sign up to find out what camping is all about while having masses of fun and adventure. There will be a special 'by invitation only' day on Friday May 30 for children with special needs and their families and carers. This unique event, called 'Access All Areas', will be less crowded that the other days and give children a bit more time to enjoy the activities available.
