'My Pocket Doctor", A New Braille Diabetes Reference Guide Now Available From Pocket Reference Journals

Pocket Reference Journals, a medical publisher of health journals has just published it's first journal in braille for the newly diagnosed blind diabetic. It's written by an endocrinologist, certified diabetes educator, and a registered dietitian.

The primary purpose of this journal is to be a helpful tool for educating the "newbie". Any braille reading diabetic that's just been informed that they have diabetes should have this journal. It's 72 pages, and has been transcribed into contracted braille. It's used not only by the blind but given out by diabetes educators, endocrinologists, and dietitians, as well as used in support groups, and as a helpful patient tool for enhancing self management and independence skills for keeping in compliance.
