2008 Springtime(TM) EXPO Less Than Two Weeks Away
"Springtime™ has always been the premier one-day association event for networking and reconnecting with old friends," said Susan Sarfati, CAE, president and CEO of The Center for Association Leadership and executive vice president of ASAE. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to host another Springtime™ EXPO and are working hard to raise the bar yet again."
The 2008 Springtime™ features biodegradable badge holders and lanyards and tote bags made of 100% recycled material. "We are taking steps to ensure our meetings are more environmentally friendly, in conjunction with our social responsibility initiative," said ASAE President and CEO John H. Graham IV, CAE. Following the event, all leftover nonperishable items will be donated to DC Central Kitchen.
Based on feedback received after previous events, this year's expo hall offers numerous improvements to make the Springtime™ experience and networking between industry professionals even better. The 2008 event features more expo seating and a re-drawn tradeshow floor, allowing attendees to get the most Springtime™ exposure ever. "With more than 700 exhibitors, the 2008 Springtime™ is going to exceed all expectations," Sarfati said. Attendees can easily navigate the expo hall and create a personalized trade show floor map with My Planner, a brand new online conference planning tool.
This year, attendees can choose from 11 education sessions, ranging from how to plan international and environmentally-friendly meetings to negotiating hotel rates and dealing with the government, facilitated by the best speakers in the industry. Recordings of most of the sessions will be available online following the event, along with the session handouts.
The general session features Jack Canfield, "America's Success Coach" and founder and CEO of Chicken Soup for the Soul Enterprises, Inc, who will share ideas form his new book The Success Principles, which teaches the skills people need to realize their dreams.
