Ham And Turkey Recalled After Listeria Scare
Listeria (listeriosis) can cause nausea, headaches, diarrhea, and fever. The illness can hit two to eight weeks after eating contaminated food - it can take up to ten weeks for a person to actually start feeling ill.
So far, no cases of people becoming ill after eating the ham or turkey have been reported. HoneyBaked Foods Inc. say their voluntary recall is a precaution.
The company is asking people to look out for the following codes:
Ham codes - 6261 to 6310 (including all numbers in between)
Glazed Turkey Breast codes - 6248 to 6258 (including all numbers in between)
People may have bought them through the company catalogue, in the Toledo, Ohio area, or on the internet.
Consumers should call the following numbers if they seek further information: 1-800-461-3998. HoneyBaked Foods will make arrangements to come and collect any unused portion of the product.
