Now in its sixth edition, the booklet aims to provide researchers, MPs and interest groups with a source of reliable information on the UK pharmaceutical industry, how the NHS is managed in all regions, and listings of the various watchdog bodies.
There are also useful contacts for patient groups, research charities and non-governmental health organisations.
This latest edition of the ABPI Healthcare Handbook 2004 includes updated information for the devolved administrations of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Devolution has led to increasing differences to how health care is run across the country and therefore also to which medicines are prioritised and prescribed.
