MURs Double In Wales
Steve Simmonds, NPA Head of Professional Services (Wales) said: "In the past year a number of Welsh pharmacies have had a concerted focus on increasing MUR numbers, however, the picture on the ground remains very mixed."
Steve continued: "Some pharmacies are finding it difficult to conduct MURs for a number of operational reasons while others may simply lack the confidence to take those first tentative steps. Whatever the difficulties members are experiencing the NPA Professional Services Team is there to help."
Members should contact the NPA Professional Services team for best practice advice on conducting a MUR and for advice on marketing the service. The NPA is determined to help all its members in Wales and England, achieve their MUR targets.
The NPA has set up an MUR campaigns area with downloadable marketing materials on http://www.npa.co.uk/members and is promoting MURs to the general public through recent radio interviews and Facebook.
