Web Page To Keep Children Updated On Their Views For Children's Centre, Salisbury District Hospital, England
Children's views are being used in the design of the building and the web page includes information on the recent children's survey. It also includes quotes, information, pictures from the workshops and a link to the Stars Appeal's Caring 4 Kids Campaign which aims to raise £1million for additional facilities and equipment within the Centre.
Penny Robbins from Artcare said: " We want to provide an environment that is sensitive to children's needs and helps them get better, so it's important that they are involved in the design and development of facilities and services that they use. Children like to be cared for in colourful and comfortable surroundings with access to a whole range of games, toys and books that keep them occupied and their detailed comments will be used in the overall design later in the year."
Ms Robbins added: "The workshops also give children knowledge of how public buildings are designed and developed, helping them with their understanding and giving them an alternative educational experience."
